English Premier League
Wigan Athletic 0-1 Manchester City
Although not so convincing Man City secured 3 points against strugglers Wigan Athletic with a headed goal by Mr hot and cold himself Edin Dzeko.
The Ginger bread man Paul Scholes scored on his return to Old Trafford as the red devils bashed horrible Bolton .
Well there isn’t really much I can say about this match because it kind of bored me but what I can say though is that Bolton sucks and Michael Carrick is looking good.
Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Disappointing result for Tottenham as they tried to put pressure on the two Manchester sides above them in the table
From Modric not being himself, to a contentious corner which lead to the Wolves goal, to Emmanuel Adebayor’s goal been ruled out as offside which clearly was the wrong call by the lines man, things on the day weren’t going Tottenhams way.
Van Persie scores and Arsenal lose away form home, Whats new?
Arsenal took the lead early on but the goal was cancelled out by a penalty by Scott Sinclair. Dyer put the Welsh side into the lead in the 57th minute but overrated Walcott equalized.
Mr Koscielny was caught up the pitch and this allowed Graham to have space to run into and finish to put the home side in the lead in the 70th minute to seal the win for Swansea.
Serie A
Juventus 1-1 Cagliari
A missed opportunity for Juventus to stretch their lead on top of AC Milan in the Serie A standings.
Stephan Lichtseiner crossed the ball to Vucinic and the striker slotted the ball home to put Juve 1 goal up. A couple of missed opportunities allowed Cagliari to get back into the game with Cossu leveling the scores by hitting a left footed long ranger from outside the box and leaving grand pa Buffon with no chance.
Best match in Serie A after the Milan derby, Genoa coming from behind to whip Udinese at home.
Undinese were put in front by Ferronetti early on in the game, but Genoa replied in the second half with two goals, then Rodrigo Palacio gave them the third 20 minutes later. The away team where given hope when they were given a penalty and captain Marco Rossi was given a red card, Di Natale scored the penalty but its was too little too late.
Lazio 2-0 Atalanta
Lazio win comfortably against Atalanta and end a three match non winning streak with every body’s favorite old striker Klose getting the second goal.
AC Milan 0-1 Internazionale
AC Milan’s big players where MIA in the derby clash against Inter which lead to them being beaten 1-0 at the San Siro.
Zlatan, Pato, Nocerino, Abate were some of the players who were missing in action on Sunday. Zlatan great technical player maybe the best in the world but will never be the best striker in the world because in big games he just doesn’t show up. Credit to Milan they defended well and they deserve the win with Diego‘el principe’ Milito giving them the lead in the 54th minute-after a mistake from Abate- and hitting the so called goalkeeper Abbiato down low on his left side.
La Liga
Athletic Bilbao 3-0 Levante
Uh oh its seems like teams aren’t afraid of Barcelona any more this is evident with Real Betis’ performance at the Camp Nou on Sunday even though Barca won but now we see that they are not so invincible after all.
After the 1st two goals which came with in the first 15 minutes we all thought that this was going to be another routine win for the Catalans (I even changed the channel). But Betis came back and early on in the second half they were on level terms with Man City reject Roque Santa Cruz popping up with a goal in the 52nd minute.
Guardiola looked worried in his tight suit but in the 71st minute Barca go a break-which they usually do when they at home- with Mario being sent off in the 71st minute for a second yellow. Long story short Sanchez and Messi put the final nails in Betis’ coffin with goals three and four.
Boring match which saw La Liga strugglers beat third place Valencia at home.
Mallorca 1-2 Real Madrid
Best match of the La Liga weekend which saw Real Madrid come back from behind and beat a tough Mallorca side.
Mourinho threw caution to the wind and put only three at the back and brang on attacking players from the bench and it worked. Higuain came in and scored 18 minutes from time then in the 84th minute Callejon finished off the comeback.
